Colonial Folk Art, Inc. Equality Policy
Colonial Folk Art, Inc., (CFA) including Colonial Folk Art Studio and Gallery and Juxtaposition Gallery and Gifts, takes equality very seriously. We believe in the diginity of all human beings and the rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
CFA stands firm in the belief that equality is a God-given, Constitutional right and that all should be treated equally. And that all persons are welcome as potential employees and customers.
As such it is our overarching policy that Colonial Folk Art, Inc. will not discriminate based on , , , (including , , or ), , , (40 or older) or (including family medical history).
CFA will provide reasonable accommodations to job applicants and employees who need them for medical or religious reasons, as required by law.
Employees can report discrimination directly to the owners, Beverly Burgdorf or Davie Burgdorf, if they have question or concerns or believe they have been discriminated against by CFA. Employees will not be punished for reporting discrimination, participating in a discrimination investigation or lawsuit or opposing discrimination. We will protect the confidentiality of employees who report discrimination or participate in a discrimination investigation, to the greatest possible extent. We will also provide for prompt and effective corrective and preventative action when necessary.
Employees who violate this non-discrimination policy may be subject to reduced hours or terminated.
All customers will be treated with respect and dignity no matter their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, political affiliation, or age.
While in our business or on our property, customers must treat other customers and CFA staff in accordance with the same rules as employees. Any customer who refuses to follow these basic human dignity rules will be asked to leave the premises.
